Trade Association Established for Advanced Automation Systems
BOSTON, MA-- The Collaborative Electronic Notebook Systems Association (CENSA) has been established as a new industry trade association, whose purpose is to drive the creation, convergence, effective usage, and continuous improvement of automation technologies and methodologies that facilitate scientific discovery, product development and collaboration among technical professionals. Founding member companies include Dow Chemical Company, HB Fuller, Rohm and Haas, Searle/Monsanto, and seven other Fortune 500 companies.
The Collaborative Electronic Notebook Systems Association (CENSA) is recruiting additional association members and vendors. Those who stand to gain the greatest benefits from association membership include technical end users and their managers, scientists, records managers, hardware and software vendors, industry regulators, patent attorneys, R&D managers - and anyone who uses paper notebooks and wishes for an easier way. Affected industries include medical, clinical, environmental and university settings.
Membership benefits include product research and development, education and training and participation in its industry consortia. The association's focus on technical systems includes electronic recordkeeping, records management, Groupware and collaborative computing, document management, wireless networks, handheld computing and the WWW. The association's legal and regulatory focus is on laws, policies, procedures and standards for use of automation in regulated industries.
